The Kentucky Rural Broadband Association is excited to announce the appointment of Ryan Watts as its new executive director.
Watts brings over 20 years of experience in communications, public affairs and association leadership, most recently serving as executive director of the Kentucky Oil and Gas Association (KOGA) since 2017.

“I am thrilled to join the Kentucky Rural Broadband Association and work with this outstanding group of providers and our associate member partners that have been doing an incredible job helping to close the digital divide while also innovating to help Kentucky communities thrive in connectivity and economic development,” said Watts. “My focus will be on strengthening our partnerships and enhancing our programs to create even greater opportunities for Kentuckians.”
Ryan will officially take over leadership of the association on January 2, 2026.
